Vibration-resistant fasteners that provide quick attachment in blind or centerpanel locations have spring legs for self-retaining in rectangular holes. If permanent
retention is required, a special locking tab can be provided. Easy to apply, Expansion
Nuts can be used in place of weld-, clinch-, or stake-type fasteners. No masking is
required.
Box style expansion nuts reinforce the attachments and provide low-failure
risk primarily in sheet metal applications. Tapered robotics expansion nuts are
suited to automation in plastic and metals panels. Available in tapped barrel, keyhole, and speed-nut thread impressions, the tapped barrel offers the strongest
attachment and is most beneficial in high volume applications
